Dad started fishing from a young age. He was taught by his own Dad and Granddad.
He loved boats and to be near the water. Whether it was the River Carron (Roger's pool), the Forth and Clyde canal, or anywhere on the coast around Scotland.
In his later years he moved from coarse and fly fishing to sea fishing. He eventually fulfilled his dream of owning a small fishing boat called "Life's Dream". It wasn't big or fancy but it was his. He always took safety very seriously when on the water and supported the RNLI, I guess he thought one day he just might need them.
This site is a tribute to Roger. He hated people wasting money on flowers and stuff but he would love something positive to come from this sad time. We would love to hear any memories or funny stories you have of him.
He is very much loved and will always be remembered and lives on in his Grandchildren, Joseph, Elowen and Joshua.
Sorry for your loss Susan, your Dad was a great guy
